Dear Friend - Lebanon

"Dear Friend" is a participatory documentary project filmed in between 2017 and 2023 in #Lebanon, before the current attacks and destruction unfolded. It starts and ends as a letter written to an old friend, and looks at different generations and communities questioning public and personal spaces through four chapters weaving together community theater, the lives of those fleeing conflict, Lebanon's first public skate park, and the myths reclaiming the sea. After Israeli attacks displaced a fifth of the country's population, a handful have found their way to Snoubar skatepark featured in this documentary.
